Timothy's expertise is in bridging the gap between engineering and storytelling to keep technologists around the globe informed and inspired. He enjoys leading teams, solving complex technical problems, and believes in improving life through engineering and art.

He is currently the Director of Core Platforms Developer Relations at Google which drives developer success with both external and internal paltforms. Publicly available platform DevRel teams include Firebase, Flutter, Angular, Material, Photos, AR, Bazel, and Identity. Graduated teams include TensorFlow, Maps DevRel, and G Suite DevRel. Developer Relations at Google is an engineering-driven function increasing developer success with Google APIs, services, and tools. Previous work at Google includes leading Scalable Developer Advocacy, leading Ubiquitous Computing Developer Advocacy, and helping launch and grow awareness and adoption for various platforms including Android Wear, Google Glass, Android TV, Google Cast, Android Auto, beacons, Brillo, Weave, and Google+.

Timothy has taught broadcasting, theater, engineering, and new media at the University of California at Santa Cruz, the Academy of Art University, and the Digital Media Academy. He has a B.S. in Computer Engineering, a Theater Arts graduate degree, and an M.F.A. in Digital Arts and New Media from U.C. Santa Cruz.
